We cooked, we ate, we laughed, we relaxed, we walked around the grounds, and we hiked up the newly-blazed trail to a gorgeous view. But mostly, we just enjoyed being together in this cozy and comfy place. It was exactly what I was hoping for. The unique and historic Calico Chicken House just suited our sensibilities. Cheryl could not have been more welcoming, hospitable, and kind. I am so moved by the incredible way she is honoring her family’s legacy. And that only made us appreciate our own memories more, as we celebrated a college graduation and two birthdays during this trip. I am filled with gratitude and would go back there in a heartbeat!
